2023 Southern Region Water Ski Team (alphabetical order):
Athletes are chosen based on the highest performance standards for slalom, trick, and
jump. Using the AWSA National Ranking list for both the previous ski year and the last twelve
months, any three-event skier in Boys/Girls 2, Boys/Girls 3, Boys/Girls 4, or Boys/Girls 5 with a
Level 8 Overall Ranking will be selected to the Southern Region Junior Water Ski Team.
Additionally, using the National Ranking List for the previous ski year, any Level 8 skier in any
age division who is ranked 1-10 in the U.S. in overall rankings or 1-5 in the U.S. in any single
event with a minimum percentile of 80 will be selected.
Finally, if a skier achieves an outstanding score overall or in any event regardless of the age division criteria above and does
not otherwise make the team, an extra team member is added.
The National and Regional Junior Development Committees would like to congratulate
all these junior competitors and their families for the tremendous amount of time, effort, and
dedication they have applied in their quest for excellence!

Shannon Waters is now Southern Region Rep for Jr. Development and Allison Blair is now the 'Chair' for the AWSA Jr. Development Committee
It’s Allison (not Jeff - Lol). Attached is a roster of kids in the Southern Region who are on the National Junior Development Team (10 of the 24 are in our region - 1st picture on below), the Southern Region Junior Development Team (24 kids - 2nd picture below with sponsor banner), and also a list of kids who are graduating juniors and moving up to “adulting.” There is also a picture of all the kids who had a PB at Regionals and won money in the PB raffle! I would love to recognize these kids as much as we can! Ever since we’ve been involved, nobody has ever made a big deal about these teams, but these kids earned their spot by having the highest NOPS points in the country and they deserve some kudos! Thanks so much for your help
